With the release of the new Age of Darkness box set for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy wargame I was wondering which of the 18 legions were the most googled in the last few months.
A dive into Google Trends and a chart from Florish created this...
On Google trends you can get up to 6 different searches at the same time to compare their googled history but this wouldn't be enough for all 18 legions. So in order to make sure the data was as clean as possible I pulled down the CSV of each legion of how often they were searched in the past year. I then copied that data into it's own separate file on Google sheets.
That created this CSV...
Then I went to https://flourish.studio/ to build the visualization and choose a running line chart.

With it being a slightly larger data set to visualize I choose colored by category and clicked data to import the CSV.
This created 2 issues; first the rows and columns needed to be flipped to show searches by the legions not searches by week, second was that over the past yr with that many legions led to a very full chart making it hard to see.
The first problem was easy to fix by clicking the flip row/columns button and since the box set was released this year I decided to limit the data set to the last few months
This still led to a hard to read visual but after tweaking a few settings it was much easier to read as it was going.
Lastly I found logos for each legion and changed the color of the lines to match the legion colors.
